Genealogy

I am fascinated by genealogy. The history of one's family throughout the ages---what experiences they had, both the ones we can discover through newspapers, stories...and the ones left only to imagination. 
I look at my life and wonder, if He does not return in my lifetime, who might be interested in me...

I love reading about the cultural, historical significance and such that we miss in the Bible. Here we are, adopted into this family (Jesus' mention of bringing us into the flock, the main flock; mentioning of adoption and birthrates), yet we do not bother to know anything about our new heritage.
We miss out on a lot of amazing things about our family. The study of knowing more about this history is vividly important. Like attempting surgery without having attended college. 
The Jews, dear Israel, are the firstborn, the true line. After all, it was through that line we got Jesus. We are the beloved adopted ones. We should learn about our family. 
I really have nothing to say about a specific new family thing, but just to point out that I have learned many things---have had many things flash into a higher, vibrant brilliance,  by knowing more about Jewish heritage and culture. If we will study about the culture of a business prospect from another country...should we not study the culture and understood things of our new family?
As I said....I simply cannot describe the vibrant amazing wonder discovered with knowing more about these things.
