So, gave myself my last free sample of Enbrel this AM, no complaints, no weird side effects that I have noticed. Maybe even feel better, but can't really tell because I have such better pain control. Swelling was INCREDIBLE yesterday; my ankle was double size. So maybe not doing a whole lot for me yet. I am so grateful to have the doctor I have who helps to get good pain management. I'm not 100% pain free, but that is not a possibility in RA, really. I am at least at a 1-3 with occasional 6, whereas I was at a 7 and above constantly.
Called insurance, they denied Enbrel because we didn't do methotrexate. Called dr office to see what they are doing. As far as I know, they contacted insurance with another application and whatever the word is that has escaped me. The nurse was supposed to call back but didn't, so I will try tomorrow and see what is up. I'm two weeks into this therapy, I don't want to stop and start up again!

Col 1:15-19
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him
