Consuming

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deuteronomy 4.24

 I've always thought of this verse only in the jealous way. Yet as I read it a thought came over me. 
The study of God is consuming. God is consuming. To have a fruitful relationship with God is one that is consuming.  Knowing God is to have the fire of God raging in one's spirit, to have all thoughts rotating wildly about the central thought of God.
