Walking

Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me. 
Psalm 23.4

I'm particularly fond of the 4th verse. Even though I walk through....the psalmist doesn't focus his attention on the dark valleys, and he's not distracted by the shadows. The dark valley is a place to go through, not a place to stay in.
